PerfectDraft.
There are only a few things that we at Gadget Lounge love as much as gadgets. One is beer. So when some genius comes up with a beer gadget, all we can say is “Brilliant!” Interbrew, soon to be InBev, and Philips have come up with a home draft beer dispenser. Due in Belgium in mid-November, PerfectDraft has a “tap handle, internal cooling system, pump and 6-liter light metal keg. PerfectDraft keeps beer at the optimal conditions at a constant temperature of 3° C. Once installed, the beer stays fresh for four weeks. PerfectDraft is suitable for a variety of different brands in Interbrew’s portfolio.” We just pray for an Australian release early next year, summer beer on tap. The price in Belgium will be about $AU340 (€199) and replacement kegs will be $AU25 (€14.99), which’ll be much more when shipped down under.

My husband wants one!! Where can I get one for Christmas? He also saw a similar product in the States, called a kegerator. It’s kind of like a beer fridge with a keg inside & a tap on the top. Are these products available in Australia?

Where can I get a PerfectDraft from? I have been searching everywhere after seeing a recent article from it. I contacted Philips Australia (seeing as it was done in partnership with Interbrew and Royal Philips) but they said it won’t be available in Australia.

I don’t know how to get one in the U.S., but I have to find out. This product is a winner.

Hello all,
At the moment the Philips Perfectdraft is for sale in belgium & Luxembourg and in september in Germany.
We (keukenlust) only sell the appliance and kegs within the EU as we’re not setup to handle exports.
The Belgian shop does export this appliance and kegs worldwide.
You can find out more about the expected launches on http://www.buy-a-perfectdraft.com

Dear All
I am currently doing a market reasearh survey for this product and it was delivered last night. It looks great, a real cool bit of kit but I have to wait 2 weeks for the beer to be delivered. I am looking forward to that bit. I assume that they are looking to launch it here in the UK.

Sorry to hear Toby that it takes you 2 weeks to get the beer. We generally deliver to the UK in 2 days.

As a homebrewer I have to ask, is it possible to refill the kegs with my own favorite brew?
November 17th, 2005 at 11:02 pm
I’m currently in the process of constructing an ecommerce site to sell this product worldwide. My client has assured me he will be able to ship anywhere within 7 days. UK delivery will be 2-3 days. I can’t submit the domain as yet but please mail me in a month when all is completed.

I second that - can someone, anyone tell us if this can be refilled and used for homebrew?

I’ll third that
Can it be filled with homebrew?
If so, the market would be huge

I just emailed the reseller in the UK asking that question. As the smallest empty kegs I have found is 12L.

Phil Matthews - have you set up your website to sell these yet? If so please post details, thanks!

So is there any news on it’s release in Australia?
December 28th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
I have just bought a Wunderbar in the UK and is great. Similar to the perfect but you can fill a 6L plastic keg which comes supplied with any drink of your choice. I bought 4X6L kegs for over Christmas and i’m on my last now. Unless we can get these supplied from the UK direct because of the weight it becomes more expensive to drink at home than down the local.
