Big news today is that Apple is gearing up to release a 60 GB iPod, which we already knew, with a colour LCD. With that will come photo viewing, and a TV out that will allow users to display their images on a TV set. Form factor is said to be identical to the 4th Gen iPod, but marginally thicker. It’s nice to see the iPod not trying to be everything to everyone still. It’s always excelled at being a music player first and foremost, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be relinquishing it’s strangle hold on the portable music player market.
Update : (October 11, 2004) The Register and CNet have also picked up the story saying, “Think Secret has accurately ferreted out details on a number of recent Mac products, including the G5 iMac”.

It should probably be noted that thinksecret are a rumor site so this ‘news’ should be taken with a metric truckload of salt.
