Nokia Hints At Mobiles With Hard Drives Due Next Year.
Tech Digest points out that “Nokia yesterday confirmed that it will launch a ‚Äòmedia type‚Äô phone with a hard disk sometime during 2005″. More on that at The Economic Times.
All of this makes sense of course. Mobile devices are converging, that’s a given. Even today you can carry a single device that is a phone, camera, music player, radio and PDA. Until the networks speed up and prices drop for data access we’ll need to store everything locally. Besides, price per megabyte is becoming ridiculously low.
