itunes.com.au Domain Name.
While we all wait for iTunes to launch in Australia, some people are having fun contemplating the domain names in Australia and New Zealand. It’s certainly won’t stop them launching it here, but it’s a mild distraction from the fact we’ve had to wait so long so far.
The site itunes.com.au is owned by Capitol Bar and Lounge on the Gold Coast. Spokesman Cameron McCrae says the company registered the site two years ago and plans to use it to host an Internet radio site.
Though rumours are swirling about an imminent launch of iTunes in Australia, Mr McCrae says Apple hasn’t contacted him. He is willing to sell the site.
Apple Australia declined to comment on the websites or its plans for a local launch of iTunes.
Apple is trying to wrestle back control of itunes.co.uk in Britain.”
