Triple J Trials Podcasting.
Our local Political Blogger guru, Robert Corr of Kick & Scream, wrote in to point out that Triple J has started Podcasting. They won’t be offering their current programs, but some of the archives for their Hack show that they broadcast weekdays at 5.30 pm. As they say, if they see a good amount of downloads then they’ll continue the services, or as Robert points out, “it might spread to other ABC News services, which would be excellent for podcast listeners.”
How to subscribe:
1. Download podcasting software such as iPodder or alternate podcasting software. Most applications operate on Mac, PC or Linux. All are free.
2. Once you have set up and acquainted yourself with the podcasting software, then copy & paste this URL: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hack/podcast/podcast.xml into your podcasting program. This will add Hack to your podcasting subscriptions.
3. If you want to receive these programs regularly, make sure the scheduling function on your podcasting software is set to search for new podcasts automatically
If you are set up correctly, you should receive a new hack program once every 1-2 weeks until late January. Depending on how this trial goes, we may decide to continue the service in 2005.
So everyone, get on in and give it a whirl.
