Skype Beta for OS X.
Skype 1.0.0.15 Beta for OS X has just popped up for download which includes the SkypeIN and Skype Voicemail that Windows users got last week. We’re still unsure just how much we would use either of these additions, and most will depend upon the location of the SkypeIN number, which still currently only includes France, Hong Kong S.A.R., China, and the United States (all U.K. numbers are currently sold out). Honestly, why everyone isn’t on Skype yet is beyond us.

everyone would have to give up skype anyways, just as soon as ISP’s ramp up their port blocking and institute quality of voice packet measures. Skpe specially is in for rough waters…
look for the voip companies that have ISP’s (telcos/cable), using their voip engine. They are the ones that made the “right” alliances and chose the right path.
Companies like Freshtel.
When voice data packets are given preferences by their controlling ISP’s you will see voip companies users decline just as fast as they grew.

Firstly, I’m Skype biased - my company is launching the Cordless DUALphone into Australia later this month.
The product is the world’s first cordless 2-in-1 Skype™ Internet telephone and I believe it makes the whole VoIP experience so easy for an average household to use and benefit from. The product gives all the benefits of Skype (no fees or subscriptions and free calls to any other Skype users) packaged into a normal cordless phone. On the phone screen you can see if your Skype frends are on-air, and if so call them for free. You are no longer tethered to your computer to be able to make and recevie Skype and can use this cordless phone.
