If this one doesn’t pan out, I’m moving to the States (or the EU, Canada, Japan …)

Saw that earlier today - if you look at the associated image (http://www.appletalk.com.au/newsimg/itmsmedia.jpg), the font and image don’t really fit in with Apple’s usual style. Think the image is a beat up and the rumour of a briefing (announcement) doesn’t appear on any of Apple’s AU sites. Think it’s just another furphy. IF (if is a very big word in terms of itms) ITMS au does go ahead, then I’ll be very reluctant to pay for what’s rumored to be $1.69au a song.
Had a bet at the start of the year with a friend that Australia wont get the itms this year. Still think I’m going to win and you maybe heading to the EU etc… Spain is nice at this time of year!

A similar story is in the newspapers (Qld ) so I am guessing it will happen.
My concern is the cost, they are saying AUD$1.69 for music and AUD$3.39. I think thats miles too much for poor bitrate, compressed music (plus poor res video) but I bet lots of people will buy ‘cos of the cool factor - and I guess conveniance.
