Bigpond Promises To Limit.

It looks like it’s time to move away from Bigpond, if your a leacher.

Australia’s largest ISP, Telstra BigPond, will implement dramatic slow-downs on customer accounts that exceed 10GB of usage in a month, starting from today.

Telstra’s new automatic speed capping system will limit users to 64Kbit/s speeds ‚Äî just a littler faster than a dialup modem ‚Äî if they exceed 10GB of uploads and downloads combined.

Not all states start today. Check Whirlpool for the details.

It’s not a hoax. Whirlpool has a good reputation and it was only a matter of time before Telstra started capping customers (just as they said they would).

    Also, it’s you’re not your :)

This is a courtesy notice to let you know that your BigPond Broadband service has been slowed to 64kbps.

You are currently on the BigPond Broadband Unlimited* Downloads and Uploads plan, which includes shaping once 10GB of usage has been reached.
