Telstra To Trial Increased ADSL Range.
Whirlpool is running an article on Telstra’s invite only trial to test longer ranges for its ADSL service.
“As part of the trial, people will be offered a single port self install modem kit and the BigPond 1500/256 Unlimited plan in order to ‘push the limits’ of current ADSL technology. This comes after Telstra increased the limit from 49dB to 56dB earlier this year.
Customers participating in the trial will have special terms and conditions, but will pay nothing until the trial finishes at the end of the year. They will then lose the service and return the modem.”
