But that’s it for me buying Sony – my wife went out and bought a few hits of 2005 type cd’s. She made sure they were not Sony ones. Was buying Neil Diamond new one for a Chrissy prezzie – nope it’s Sony so it won’t be bought, she’ll get something else instead.

i have read that Sony is to stop using this protection and will replace CD’s but it is too late. My DVD player (home theatre type) from Sony is bad enough – doesn’t play CDr or DVDr disks after that no more Sony hardware for me.
