LG: “Watch TV on your Fridge”
Just what we’ve all wanted to do. Everyone has seen them by now, but LG Electronics are releasing a refrigerator with a 13″ LCD TV built into the door! Eight hundred and three litres of TV enabled goodness. One does have to wonder about the usefulness of such a device, and we can’t help but imagine that the novelty of having an LCD on your fridge will soon wear out, especially when it’s retail price is around $8k.
A side by side unit with built in ice and water dispenser, and it’s other features include a Stereo FM radio, low noise levels, water filtration and frost free design.
Maybe it’d be useful if you’ve got a one room apartment and you’d like to do away with the TV and stereo because they’re taking up too much room or something, after all, keeping the beer cold is more important.

Nope, as much as they’ve been hyping the internet fridge for what must be years by now, I still don’t get it. It strikes me a bit like the Segway scooter: great idea, but what’s the point?
