It's the same as you see on external gauges on a hot rod or performance car, and also what is used on old style metal milkshake cups. It is very thin and 'brasso' has a coarse cut to help shine brass. I would recommend a fine cut polish for automotive paint such as Maguires swirl remover as it will be less harsh on the surface, therefore you can de-scratch your nano more times as it won't have removed as much material as brasso.
