If you?¢‚Ç¨‚Ñ¢re spending a good deal of your life in second life you may like to know that there is a new car on the market in the online game.
Toyota have launched a redesigned Scion xB and a new model called the xD in Second Life. ?¢‚Ç¨?ìResidents?¢‚Ç¨¬ù of which there are roughly 1.2 million can log into kiosks in ‘Scion City’ and buy a Scion for 300 Linden dollars, or $1. They can then customize it with real-world and fantasy accessories.
This is not the first time Toyota have produced products for online communities. They also launched a range of Scions for the online game, Whyville which is created for teens.
More and more famous brands are being launched into online games to increase consumer awareness and though the often do not make that much money online, they hope that it will increase their profits offline.
