Sony goes High Definition
Sony have announced their new HDR-FX1, a high definition 16:9 3-CCD camcorder. It’s capable of recording at 1080i, and each 1.12 megapixel CCD has a resolution of 960×1080 pixels. Each of the pixels is rectangular in shape, giving the camcorder it’s 16:9 format.
It should be here by the end of the year, and expect a retail price of around US$3700.
